Quitters - Man LP Out Now!

It's finally here! The long awaited full-length LP from Quitters is out now. 10 raw and brutal songs of heavy sludge madness. Hardcore enough for the punx, and metal enough for the metalheads, Quitters hit right between the two genres, and carves their own path, leaving a distorted trail of despair and misanthropy behind. Released together with Copenhagen-based Virkelighedsfjern Records.

"Quitters started in 2017 when we released our first tape ’Chicken’. Another two tapes later we’re ready with our first full length ’Man’. We’re still just playing rock, no bullshit, lots of fun. Just like life, Quitters have no deeper meaning, it’s just about having fun while feeling shitty. We have fun at rehearsal and sometimes something is recorded (shout-out to Morten Leerhøy and Marcus Rock who’ve tolerated us enough to record). But that’s not so important. ’Man’ is released on Virkelighedsfjern and Wargame records. Olivia Rose Berthelsen was in charge of all things graphic.

Skrot - S/T E.P. release

 

The SKROT - S/T E.P. will be released next saturday, at the K-Town Virus Weekend in Ungdomshuset. The band will play on Saturday as well, and copies will be available from the band and our distro at the fest.

Last Climb - Fauna Conruptus LP Out Now!

 Yes, that's right! The looong awaited full-length LP from Swedish crust maniacs Last Climb is out now! 16 songs of brutal crustcore, mixing traditional mangel with an unhealthy dose of grind and powerviolence, topped off with a fine touch of classic scandi-crust. News

Despite all this Corona madness haunting the world right now, we're still alive and kicking, and we got a bunch of cool releases coming up.

First of all, the Quitters - Man LP has been sent to the pressing plant, and we hope to have this sludgy gem out during the fall, if everything goes as planned. Maybe there will be some sort of release party as well, but it all depends on the situation at that point.

Second, the production of the Noll I.Q. E.P. has been on hiatus for some time now, due to various unfortunate circumstances, but things are finally back on track, and we hope this piece of Swedish powermangle madness will be out before the end of 2020.

Third, The Last Climb - Fauna Conruptus LP is at press right now, and will be out very soon as well. Packed to the brim with raw Swedish crustcore, this will for sure fill the black void we all feel right now.

Last, but not least, the Skrot E.P. is almost done, and will also be available very soon. We've kept this release a bit under the radar, since the whole situation has made things a bit uncertain, but everything is going as planned, and we hope to have this out very soon. Expect a solid dose of raw and intense Swedish kängpunk, the way we know and like it.

We're currently not planning on doing any shows or events, but we hope things will be better soon, and we'll be back on track as soon as possible.

Our beloved Ungdomshus needs your help and support in these dark times.

Link many other venues, bars and social projects, Ungdomshuset is facing a very hard time these days. Due to the heavy restrictions enforced by our government to control the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Ungdomshuset is in total lock-down. This means no concerts, bar nights, peoples kitchen or any other activities, which normally keeps the economy of the house running.

Since Ungdomshuset is a nonprofit, 100% volunteer run space, all income goes directly into paying mandatory bills, funding repairs on the house and helping out small touring bands and artists.

Since the beginning of Ungdomshuset, both this one, and the old one on Jagtvej 69, the house has been a very important part of the global DIY network, providing not only a space for shows, parties and festivals, but also aiming to create a safer space for oppressed minorities, while also being an institution of political learning, skill-sharing and creative thinking.

No words can fully describe how important the house is to us. This is where we organize our shows, distribute our releases, play with our bands and find shelter from the world, when times get tough.

Without Ungdomshuset, this label probably wouldn't exist at all.

We fully understand that a lot of you are facing very difficult times, both financially and socially, but if you have any chance to help out the house, we strongly recommend supporting Ungdomshuset in whatever way you can.

Important Update

Due to the current situation with the COVID-19/Corona Virus outbreak, we will be running a big slower than usual. The main reason is the financial effect the cancelling of festivals and events has on our economy, since a bit part of the income for the label comes from sales at festivals and events, and also private money invested in the label. We are a 100% nonprofit label, so when sales die out, we have no funding for future releases. This means, that until the wheels start turning again, we will not be able to fund more releases, and worst case scenario, planned out releases will be postponed until our economy is better. Furthermore, we will not accept trade offers, unless we can meet up physically or arrange some "punk mail", since we can't afford the shipping right now. 

We do, however, still have some releases already financed, with will come out as planned.

If you want to help us out, the best way is to order our releases and stuff from our distro. We also offer cheap wholesale prices for distroes, stores and labels. Write to wargamerecords666(AT)gmail.com for orders.

On the booking side of things, we will not arrange more shows until it is possible to do larger events again, since we don't want to put guests, volunteers and bands at risk. We have a couple of shows already planned out in the future, but right now it's not possible to say what will happen, but we will keep everyone updated on the situation.

Last, but not least, we strongly encourage everyone to take care of themselves and each others, remember to wash your hands and follow common sense in general, and help out those in need, in whatever way you can.

We hope for better times soon, but until then we will put our energy into doing what is possible right now.

More Release Updates

We're super happy to announce, that we'll be taking part in releasing the "Sapere Aude" LP with Spanish crustcore masters Knür!

This record will be packed to the brim with pounding D-beat tracks and heavy, dissonant His Hero Is Gone style breakdowns, while also adding a brick wall of guitar solos, making it very approachable to both neocrusties and disrockers.

Grind Don't Stop

OK, Time for some updates...

First of all, a couple of our upcoming releases has been delayed, due to various circumstances out of our control. We hope to work things out as soon as possible. In the meantime, we planned out a couple of other releases, we'll be working on.

The first one will be the WxOxT tape, which will be out in a few weeks. Oldschool crustpunk from K-town, for fans of Nausea and Homomilitia. Second, we got an E.P. coming out with MONGREL from Galway, Ireland. Noisy as fuck rawpunk/HC. Last, but not least, we're working on an LP with K-town sludgepunx QUITTERS, titled "Man".

Also, there's gonna be a second edition of Black Cross Fest in Ungdomshuset 13th and 14th of March, 2020. We'll be there again with the distro, so feel free to come by for shopping and war stories.
